Applications:
Summer 2008 GEL 138 has been canceled due to hazardous working conditions on Kilauea Volcano.
A special UCD Geology application is required in addition to the Summer Sessions Special Program 2008 application (please note that the program dates on the Summer Sessions application form are incorrect. The Introductory Volcanology special program runs September 7-September 20, 2008).
Your completed application must be returned to the Department of Geology by May 1, 2008. If your application is approved, you must submit a $150.00 deposit (check made payable to the Regents of the University of California) by May 15, 2008.
A decision to teach the course in Summer 2008 is dependent on sufficient course enrollment and an expectation of safe working conditions on Kilauea Volcano. This decision will be made by June 2, 2008. Do not purchase non-refundable airline tickets prior to this date. The $150.00 deposit will be fully refunded if the course is canceled on June 2.
